This week I attended the NESTA Innovation Edge Conference in London. The exceptional calibre of speakers (including Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Sir Tim Berners-Lee, Bob Geldof KBE, and my personal favourite Sam Pitroda) demonstrated the emphasis placed upon the significance of innovation. One of the main themes I identified was that of fundamental change. A panel discussed the need to update models for business/education/healthcare/government/etc… that were designed many years ago. Since then, the Internet has revolutionised the world, and has made many of these models outdated and irrelevant. There needs to be change. Fundamental change.
I have been fortunate enough to experience some of the benefits of fundamental changes in business and the workplace first-hand. A totally refreshing and inspiring culture has been created at netoCiety. A post providing an insight into this will follow…
